I do wonder to normies on whether having Harris be at the top of the ticket keeps a link to the Biden presidency policies and it's future plans that have double digit polling margins (I think I saw/heard that there is a quite a few of those). Doesn't seem like a huge thing to us in this thread because we are not the typical voter but I do wonder if that gives her some sort of boost over the Dem Governors to normies.

At the same time I wonder if that brings out anymore racist fucks who would just vote to stop a black woman be the President.

Thinking about those old kingdoms that would promote inbreeding to not dilute the royal blood and I can't help but think that this election is our version of that.

  7. Biden's obvious sundowning is obviously very, very bad, and it should not have gotten to this point where he's still running. But I can't help but feel overwhelmed with all this information about it, take after take, and article after article in all the biggest publications, and all the coverage while all of Trump's as bad, and worse!, flaws and reasons for being unqualified to run again are (baked in? and therefore) barely covered.

the worse trump is and cont's to be and the worse the situation for our country keeps getting all just makes the argument stronger that Biden needs to step aside though

the stakes cannot possibly be raised to a place where the best option is someone mentally unfit for the office

  14. I don't think it needs a "stronger" argument. It's obvious they're both too old to be the most powerful human on the planet.

there was tweets by…I wanna say Brian Selter or whatever his name is?…a few days ago going around where he basically admits “Republicans don’t care about Trumps flaws but Democrats care about Biden’s flaws so that’s why we report it” or something to that effect and it was wild to see them basically admit hey these generate the clicks so that’s what we report on

obviously it is not getting thru to Biden, and maybe not to his inner circle, but I think other top Dems need to make him see the insanity in what he is doing

and utter selfishness too I guess

I agree 10000%. I know I just shared the article, but the NYTimes has been the worst about this and their abysmal coverage is going to be pointed to long after we’ve descended into full on Trump fascism.

Policy wise, I remember saying in 2020 that virtually anyone on the debate stage was probably at least personally to the left of Biden, if not also on their official platform. That includes Harris. I thought any one of them would have been better than Biden. Then Biden ended up having a way more progressive policy streak and rhetoric than I ever woulda thought during the general election and first year-2. Even his foreign policy re: drones and Afghanistan was a surprise. So he ended up being better than I expected, but the worry was always he was too old and too establishment to meet the moment of radical moves needed in the Trump era. Now is Harris likely to do anything big and radical? Probably not. But I’d take my chances with her over Biden. I unfortunately don’t know if she’ll be much if at all any different on Israel though.

Politically, she scares the shit out of me doing way too much of that Hillary plastered smile weird laughing thing, like she got the sexism memo about people not liking strong assertive women much so she had to disarm everyone with a laugh and a smile. It was so obviously fake with HRC, and it’s fake with her too, just watch any of her senate hearings to see that. Now she doesn’t have the decades of baggage and Hillary hate that FoxNews spent years building, so maybe it doesn’t hurt her as much. But Biden’s strongest quality is the “retail politics” he can do talking to people and getting them to like him. She doesn’t seem to have that and it’s a bit worrisome because of how familiar it feels to the 2016 matchup. But I just don’t see how Biden can recover from that debate performance. Maybe he can give a strong speech at the convention or something but any other performance like that debate is going to sink him permanently. Do you really think he gets to November without any other “holy shit he sounds old” moments? Probably not.

    Vote Blue

The largest sign that the Dems need to move on from Biden is that Trump isn't rambling about the 25th amendment or how Biden should immediately step down and let someone else run.

Trump wants Biden to run and the Dems are just... going ahead and letting him have what he wants. He keeps telling the Democrats he's going to be a fascist dictator and the Democrats are just hitting him with the Tim Robinson wants to keep using the Zip Line face.

There are maybe 5000 people alive that want Joe Biden to be president. The rest of us just don't want it to be Trump. There are probably more than 5000 people that WANT Whitmer to be president. Nobody who is voting for Trump is going to vote for anyone else, and nobody who is voting for the current Biden ticket is voting for anyone other than the Democratic Nominee. If the Dems can get like, 50,000 to want to vote, they'd win.

They don't want to win. They want the Republicans to ban abortion. In politics, losing is even better, you don't have to work. You just collect the cash.

I can't wait for these fucking losers to die.
