Sounds like Highsmith may be willing to take less to stay in Miami but seems like that may be on hold until they figure out if they’re making any moves.

Also Herro has been burning some bridges with Heat fans today with his twitter likes so that’s great lol

There should be a rule where every franchise gets a WHOOPSIE trade default. Like that one rule where every team could waive one guy but only once. If a trade goes so bad for one side they get one of the picks back.

Wait, so like, the Nets could just get Jayson Tatum? Or they score a bonus 1st round pick because they blew that trade so poorly?

Ownership is lucky they got that 4th title. It’s starting to be talked about more and more how bad management/ownership has fucked up with drafting and handling relationships and without that last title it would probably be even louder.

Even a bit crazier since it seems like the plan was to use those high picks to transition into the next generation of the team/dynasty (although that’s kinda what every team should want to do) and seemingly only have 1 player working out for that plan, everything else has pretty much been a disaster.

I think it makes sense. Maybe it’s about his next contract, maybe it’s to give him an out if he wants to switch teams sooner. Maybe it’s both, and he can use his next contract as an alibi. Either way, it’s an enormous relief for the Cavs

Anything putting him past the 10-year service mark would have been weird.

  24. Was doing some reading on the Celtics roster

They’re set to pay 250 million in taxes next year. That’s with only 9 players and no Hauser extension. If they extend Hauser + sign vet mins it goes up to over 400 million in taxes and almost 700 million with taxes + salary.

They would match the number the Clippers have accumulated in total in just one summer. And would double what the Warriors paid in taxes in just under 3 seasons with the current roster.

Safe to say Jrue/Porzingis/White is likely not long for the roster after about 2 years lol
