If it’s anything like Minneapolis…overpaying on bloated worthless admin jobs, paying for buildings that are half empty, spending money on technology that doesn’t get used…I could go on

 

The amount of bloated administration in both public schools and our university system is insane, and instead of that being an area that gets cuts to it first, its typically the teachers.

I have also heard from a few teachers that the amount of money spent on technology that is a combination of vaporware, doesn't ever get used, or admin don't support is out of this world. I had one person tell me that pretty much every education tech conference their admin team goes to, it seems like they come back with a new piece of technology that is going to "revolutionize" something and never does.

 

Funny thing is I still don’t have enough pencils for my students.
