edited; I think I've killed some pests and i can handle those.

 

If the pests are okay you might be alright for the base game

DLC there's still the scorpion/spiders but maybe it's doable? It's not like you have to interact with many (and they're all run-past-able)

 

I want more runes while I work (and don't want to farm all day) so I'm placing a summon sign outside of Mohg's arena and people are amazing at finding ways to die

Edit: This is starting to narrow down to one way to die. I think the hosts think "Nihil" means "no heal" because they won't use the physick OR heal despite taking 0 damage for the entire fight and clearly having flasks

 

My friend has been trying to help people and he notices that a majority of the time hosts just want the summon support to do it while they watch lol.

 

Also just murdered a squadron full of dragons lol

 

That's what blows my mind, I'm always cool with that! All I ask is to not die from a distance. Tough ask though

 

My friend is the opposite and wants the host to you know play the game. So he now stands by the host the whole fight lol. Not letting them just stand by and watch

And if you’re asking for help, you should you know participate.

 

I agree people should participate, I just don't care too much because I'm the one who wants to do the fight again so if they wanna have a worse experience that's on them I suppose

 

As an aside I'm getting WAY better at Mohg

Farming rune arcs outside of invasions or co-op SUCKS

 

Took out scadutree avatar, Midra, and Commander Gaius last night. Rockin the giant sunflower as my main weapon now

 

I’ve ruined perfectly good co op boss attempts by being stupid and getting hit when I shouldn’t so sometimes (I haven’t had co op help in ages) I will sit back to make sure I don’t fuck up and end the attempt for them lol

 

I totally get that. And I always feel increased pressure when I summon someone. But I try to find a middle ground

 

Oh yeah I’ll take a few whacks at it when I know it’s safe lmao

 

Got to Malenia again. Now Im stuck on two bosses. Starting to think these two are just too tough for me. Maybe time for a little break

 

have you found the upgraded Turtle talisman in the DLC?

 

I Really think there should be an easier way to acquire them

they should be sold (unlimited) from a merchant IMO. Make them 50,000 runes each for all I care

Yeah I’d be fine with that. Rat farming is sooooo tedious and it’s a cool mechanic I’d be more likely to play around with if I didn’t know it’d be such a pain to replenish em

 

Again pointing out that I beat the whole of Elden Ring, Malenia and all, without knowing I never activated my rune.

 

When I did my RL1 run I went back and forth a ton on whether or not to use rune arcs. I ended up mostly not using them just because I didn’t wanna farm em
