I was honestly expecting them to just kick it back to the courts. Didn't actually think they'd stoop this low just because of how completely absurd it is.

 

this seems like a pretty big deal. I'd hate to be the aide who has to wake Biden up from his midday nap to tell him about this one.

 

The worst part of the ruling is that its done in a way that still ultimately puts the courts in charge. They can always declare that what the president did wasn't an "official act" and because that term is purposely so vague, it'll turn into letting the courts turn a blind eye to any criminal actions coming from people they like, while still going after people they don't like.

my car broke down about two hours ago and I was freaking out because I knew something was wrong and was gonna take it back in before I go out of town this weekend but anyway this random dude saw me in the middle of a busy road and helped me move the car, looked at it, turns out he’s a mechanic, immediately diagnosed the problem, went and bought me the parts and now I’m in his garage in the city watching him fix it. My dad has been skeptical the entire time because nobody is this nice and does thing out of the good of their heart anymore but I’m naive as hell and trust this dude lol

 

The implications of this decision for every vulnerable group in this country...so, so bad.
