James Gunn confirmed he's not gonna be at SDCC this year because he will be continuing filming after a replying to a fan question on threads

 

This is the only SDCC between now and the release date. There’s little to no chance that they don’t show something. Gunn was also only a week into filming the first Guardians when they showed up with a full trailer at SDCC.

The biggest things I wanna know right now are, one, what’s up with Solaris (which I believe is part of the movie, given that one teaser image), and two, when are we gonna see Isabela Merced in full costume as Hawkgirl.

 

Maybe the first footage will be revealed at that DC showcase they’ve been doing. I forget what they call it, but it’s the one where they revealed the DCU slate.

Most likely being saved for the Supergirl movie. But maybe he shows up in a cameo with Supergirl, if she shows up in this.

 

She was cast during all the casting for this, so I’d assume she’ll also show up in this. Also, set videos definitely seem to indicate Krypto will be in this.

I was going to post a picture of Birdgirl from Harvey Birdman as a joke and I found the perfect one to use, but I can't because it's a WEBP file and won't embed properly and it's way too much trouble to use Snipping Tool to create a usuable image out of it, so now this is just a rant about how WEBP is a pox and is ruining our valuable meme culture.

What's the point though of making a file format that you can save on your phone but not save on your computer?

 

Oh hey, I just found a Chrome extension that lets me choose what to save the image as, so now it doesn't matter if it's WEBP, I can save it as a JPG or PNG.

I'm glad we did this, otherwise I wouldn't have found this. To celebrate, here:

I think you can also just rename a webp file PNG and it just takes care of itself. Could be wrong... I think I've done it on my android phone before?

I'm sure the discourse will be some dire blend of boring and annoying, as most broad discourse is for cape shit these days (whether the cape shit is good or bad). Alas. Hopefully there are enough people who are fun to talk to when this hits that I can ignore the squares.
