Setlist.fm says M&Ms & WASTING TIME last night?! Did they really play both?!

 

Throughout the show i specifically remember struggling to hear guitar sounds because the crowd was so loud, and it happened during Not Now. Also in my general area people were singing along.

 

They didn’t play Wasting Time.

A lot of people have been trolling on setlist lately

 

Yup just found a full video from last night and no wasting time

 

I meant drum solo in not now specifically, sorry. Not sure if they did that when they tested it, but it definitely helped keep the crowd going.

 

also on paper I was excited about the setlist but would have made some swaps. at the show it was literally perfect. none of the songs that have been on the setlist forever felt tired and the crowd went nuts for all of it. mark did a speech about how the tour is supporting OMT but really it’s a celebration of their history and they nailed it.

lol my only complaint is PTV should not be on this tour but it allowed me to track down merch and say hi to friends. has anyone else that went to the shows felt like it’s literally a perfect tour minus the direct support? such an odd choice imo. plenty of people were going nuts so maybe i’m out of the loop. I would have been bummed if drain hadn’t been on for my date. felt like a stand in for turnstile on the last tour to me.

 

Yeah, I've never gotten into PTV and will probably show up halfway through their set or something for my show. Would make me feel better about how expensive the tix are if I actually liked the opening bands.

 

I’d have liked an opener I’m actually a fan of but I bought tickets for blink and that’s all that matters really. Last year had Turnstile, who I love, and the whole crowd just sat down the whole time and kinda killed the vibe lol

 

That's a bummer. Their last album was probably my most listened to album of 2022 and I unfortunately didn't get to catch last year's tour with them on it.... Already got tickets for this year's tour though but man I wish the openers were swapped lol.

 

I know PTV more than I know Turnstile, but I got hooked on Turnstile (and White Reaper) after the tour last year. PTV's most recent album didn't hit me as hard as their older stuff, but we'll see how it translates live I guess.

 

I love Turnstile but the crowd was kinda dead for them last year.
I enjoy some PTV, looks like they're playing most of the songs I recognize from them. Plus I think they'll have a better crowd response than most of the other openers Blink has had in the last 10 years or so.

 

Good time to get merch and booze imo.

 

My plan is to be on the rail, so unfortunately, I'm going to have to suffer through the entirety of Landon Barker and PTV... sigh

 

PTV is pretty good! Wish I could go.

 

24 years ago today, I saw Blink-182 for the first time! The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show tour, with Bad Religion and Fenix TX opening.

 

Same tour for me, but June 2nd. Still probably my favorite show I’ve ever been to

 

This is something that really struck me last night as Travis rotated around. I don't think I've ever been to a show where you get to see that view looking at the kit. He is soooo much fun to watch.

On another note, the acoustics in the Ball Arena are absolutely awful. I barely was able to pick out what they were saying in between songs. It seemed like all the higher frequency vocals and guitars were drowned out?

No matter though as we absolutely enjoyed ourselves to the fullest and mannnn the crowd was rocking for a few of their songs. I can barely talk this morning!

I know I've seen Bodyjar mentioned a few times over the years, their 2005 album popped up on Spotify so I just listened, and apparently they have been mentioned far fewer times than they deserve. Is this like a top ten album of the genre

I was actually wondering: is the blink thread the most popular/active thread on this forum? I could probably figure out a way to look that up myself, but not sure how (considering there's been 3 blink threads now)

 

That was my 2nd time seeing them, Memorial Day weekend. First time was the Loserkids tour 1999.

 

I’ve been a fan since How It Works, and I honestly think their most recent (New Rituals) might be my favorite. It’s a no-skip album.
