    • Bilmuri -- Incredible easycore that you won't be able to get out of your head
    • Hail Spirit Noir -- Prog that blends psychedelia & blackened music. Shouldn't work? But it does
    • Oh Hiroshima -- Post-rock that is compact & immediate
    • Colourblind -- Turnstile-like hardcore? It's good.
    • Noxis -- well executed, dirty death metal with audible bass(!!) and distinguishable songs
    • Nothing More -- Radio rock with some good grooves and vocals
    • White Stones -- Progressive death metal. Kind of like old Opeth. Which makes sense because this is an Opeth side-project.
Edit: I forgot Pijn! Epic post-rock. Copious amounts of instruments, long songs, great build-ups and releases.

Agreed, I’ve listened to Dark Magic soooo much! Just wish I was able to buy a physical version on CD(not really much of a vinyl collector).

There's a new Anthony Green record, did this come out earlier or is there some reason people aren't talking about it?

Also James Blake and Lil' Yachty put out a record together, I had no idea that was happening. I really enjoyed both of their last records.

I think it came out during the week (same as that new Alexisonfire live record), and it's more of a compilation of (mostly weird) tracks. Still worth the time for me.

Those Hard Chiller and Wilco EPs for me though! Listening to Queen of Jeans now, and it's also sooo good so far

Allman Brown & Lupe Fiasco for me. Will also give Bilmuri the new Nathaniel Rateliff a go.

Slow week for me, think just that new Chaser record which is pretty fun punk/pop punk stuff.

I don’t think I get Bilmuri at all. The songs I’ve heard don’t really do anything for me, and may be a dumb question given I know nothing about the band, but is the whole persona like a bit or…? I hope so. The whole “America!” thing doesn’t do it for lol

I had no idea Pijn was releasing anything. Their first album was a while ago and pretty good. The collaboration with Conjurer was super awesome though. This latest record seems suitably epic and awesome.

Bilmuri is this whole hardcore/metal/country thing that’s been happening lately. Another one is Lakeview. I’m not sure I get it either. Don’t think it’s a bit.

I always assumed his whole Bilmuri project is entirely a bit

He has a new "aesthetic" for each record, so I do think it is a bit in some way (eg. last record music videos). I think he has a, shall I say, unique, sense of humor (that i love) and he's just always done weird, low budget videos.

Pretty sure he said somewhere last year or earlier this year that that’s not all. Something like 4 records?

bilmuri is great. It is kinda formulaic but Johnny does it perfectly. The song titles and stuff have always been pretty goofy but I gotta say, he was doing the country thing years before everyone else. The pivot to Midwest Americana aesthetic just seems like a natural evolution. I wonder what is next. Ha

    Queer as Heck

Kinda seems like he’s a christian nationalist. He left Attack Attack! to focus on god.
