He's too hot. Freddy needs to be a weird little freak.

Anyone have the Gourley and Rust Hitchcock list handy?

  9. They're still voting on the trustee's picks, but the current list (not announced in order) is:

    Rear Window
    North by Northwest
    Strangers on a Train
    Torn Curtain
    The Birds
    Dial 'M' for Murder

and it looks like Vertigo is going to be added.

The amount of people saying Bill Skarsgard for Freddy is baffling. I mean I expected it as soon as I saw that tweet but still. Bill is great obviously but how unoriginal can you be to pick him?

Also, Freddy isn't tall. Robert Englund is 5'10' and Jackie Earle Haley is a short king.

  13. No reviews out for A Quiet Place: Day One yet?

Also, did anyone see Out of Darkness? Looks like it's on Paramount. Everything I'm seeing on Letterboxd is mixed with one person I follow really hating it, but I was definitely interested.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

man, I don't love coming to this thread and seeing someone wish a movie that's really important to me doesn't exist. bums me out! y'all can hate whatever you want all you want, but straight up going "the world is better if this doesn't exist" on a film that a lot of us here love feels kinda lame. not the good vibes I usually get from this thread all the time which is the reason it's my favourite thread by far, just wanted to vocalise that real quick

We should all just gang up on and universally hate one movie instead. And that movie should be The Strangers Chapter 1

Another Movie Club night at our local bar and they did Wild at Heart. A Lynch I had not seen! I really wish him and Nic Cage had worked together more. Anyway, I obviously loved it. Possession is up next month.

  25. Apologies, I truly didn't put that much thought into it when posting (I don't think the world would be better, I just think the movie stinks), but I can hold back on comments like that in the future. My intention really was just joshing around. Movies like that or Zombie's H2 are beyond me the same way Skinamarink or I Saw the TV Glow might not be for other people, but I'm glad the film exists for your sake and that it can hold that level of importance to someone!
