we reconnected and became pretty good friends a couple years later and stay in touch pretty often. we were together way back in 2011 so all that stuff is kind of water under the bridge since we were both still kids. she was around a lot in 2020 when I was going through a rough time and no one else would spend much time with me. but I told her I wouldn’t have gone anyway lol. there’s a whole how I met your mother episode about whether you should do this or not. some people are split. I probably wouldn’t invite her to mine but idk I’m not gonna have a big wedding anyway so I don’t have to worry haha

 

she’s a huge bright eyes fan and I used the sad boy image of the band to make a “I’m texting my ex” joke but I really did text her the song and we got to talking and she out of nowhere apologized for that lol. knocked me out of my chair
