It’s “I’m Rick James, Bitch” all over again.

 

Pulling an all nighter

 

On a delayed paternity leave rn so I’ll get to take my time with the new eps when I watch them for the second time with my wife while pretending I didn’t finish the whole thing while she was at work

 

I was off the day season 2 dropped and I burned through it in one sitting. Working Thursday and Friday though, gona have to space them out ;(

my partner and i watch another show on Thursdays as it airs, and usually do so by watching the previous week's episode again and then the new episode right after, so our Thursday is already booked. the original plan was to start this new season on Friday, however, i might try to convince him to stay up and watch a couple episodes on Wednesday evening if they're on the shorter side.

this is gonna be our house show which makes it impossible to binge. we're talking 1-2 episodes a night if we're lucky

 

Definitely going to space these out to let it breathe. After the heaviness of last season, that may be for the best.

 

Honestly other than Fishes, last season is pretty funny and not that intense. I rewatched it all a couple weeks back. I think the first season is heavier

 

probably gonna do the 1-2 episode per day model, myself.

They’ve never once hinted at romantic chemistry between them, so I’d be shocked as hell if that happened.

I am much more interesting in this show trying to normalize close platonic friendships between men and women than I am in Carmy and Sydney turning romantic.

 

There was a scene toward the end of the last season where the two of them were under the table together and gave each other these looks that made me feel like they could have been getting at something "romantic", but it also felt really out of place for the characters to me

 

They have way more of big brother, little sister vibe than anything else. There is no romance between them.

 

If anything I think there has been more romantic tension between Sydney and Marcus.
