Lee Dixon - "He's had a good game, Phil Foden"

Has he been watching a different game?

    It's all hell.

If England win the Euros I will do what that guy in the Manchester Orchestra thread didn't do, and eat a shoe.

Who was it earlier that made the point that the 3rd place games that take place later you could rig it?

Anthony Gordon played a really nice line breaking pass to Kane who got it to Palmer whose shot let him down. The only interesting thing I saw all game from England

I said that. Both teams qualify with a draw so I personally think a 0-0 is nailed on.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Man that was a hard game to watch. Frustrated that Gordon got so few minutes. We're really struggling down the left and he made such a positive change. Mainoo and Palmer seemed to bring some dynamism with them too. They don't seem to have yet been infected with the sludgy funk that any of the players who went to previous tournaments have.

We really shouldn't be having this much trouble fashioning chances. The way we're playing, you'd think our front line was the set of players cobbled together due to injuries.

It probably doesn’t help that Saka and Kane are both coming back from injuries. Not sure what excuse Bellingham and Foden have.

I actually thought Foden played well last night, for the first 60 minutes at least.

I was gonna say that’s the downside of the best third places but I’m pretty sure that can happen with the old format too.

Would be funny if England emulated Greece 2004 with their turgid, defensive brand of football and an easy route to the final.

Just realised I’m gonna miss the next England game as I’ll be at Outbreak Festival and it clashes with Joyce Manor doing Never Hungover Again in full.

I think I’m making the right choice.

In all seriousness, hope all is OK with Foden

This could force Southgate to sort his shit tactics out.
