It’s not the DCU but close enough

 

A lot of people already crying like these superhero costumes don’t always look goofy af in set photos

 

The Superman costume looks amazing

 

Yeah I see it is getting some hate online, but I think it looks cook. Nod to the classic golden age Superman costume while being very blatant of "this is the clothing of an alien race" .

 

The trunks look good, and I like that he has the yellow shield on the cape. And, the riff on the Kingdom Come logo is still a wild choice to me that I think looks good.

Just… wish that New 52 armor influence wasn’t there, lol. But, it’s not enough to keep me from thinking, “yeah, that’s my boy, Superman.”

Bagginess will likely get fixed in post. It reminds me of the black panther set photos from Civil War.

Gosh she's so pretty. I really wanted Emma Mackey when the casting rumors were swirling but I think she'll do great.

 

Of course someone beat me with an uncropped version of what I had in my photos. Alas!

I’m so thankful that Supes has the trunks, that the “no trunks” approach ultimately lost in the long run.

But, it is funny that it works in part due to old timey strongman iconography, and in this case it’s on a suit with a looser fit. Still looks better, though (that red breaking up the blue is important imo from a design standpoint).

 

I bet that guy could pull my arms off

I’m just glad the suit is bright and gives off a Superman that’s actually hopeful again
