I haven't listened to vhiessu since June probably but I've been back to beggars a lot. Really enjoy listening to beggars major minor and tbeitbn in order

 

I mean, their albums are all great so trying to make a case for Vhiessu over Beggars feels wrong. I'm just glad you included MM since it's also great but gets some hate in here.

 

M/m is still probably my favorite, but then I pretty much just like the rest of their albums increasingly from Artist to TBEITBN. Maybe swap Vhiessu with Fire/Water. I still spin the new album at least once a week. Definitely gonna be in my top five for the year. The Window is one of my favorite songs of theirs.

Awesome they won this award. Strange song choice to play but I love it.

Such an awesome edited video. I know a lot of people love this song here.

 

I want 3 more songs minimum as cool as the window on the next album.
Feel like everything about their sound shines in the vid.

 

Thrice Episode 03 – Peer Pleasure Podcast

Thank you! Yeah, sometimes the interviewer/host asks some good questions and gets deep into the band process and sometimes it's just bland run of the mill talk. Hated that it was a wasted opportunity.

 

Yeah I listened to the podcast. That was kind of awkward at the end when the interviewer kept asking the guys questions about Dustin after he left. And I kinda picked up on this from a previous interview, but I was bummed to hear how much Ed didn't really enjoy making this record haha.

Listening to through the record again though and damn this is so good.

 

From what I've heard, Ed intends to push for a heavier sound on the next record, which sounds perfectly fine to me.

 

That would be amaizng. Even though the new one has grown on me a ton and I really like it now, I was disappointed at first with its lack of heavy.

 

I've wondered before if the turn from heavy has been because of Dustin's vocal ability (more in regards to his age than talent) not because of their desire to not want to write heavier songs.

 

I dunno, he still belts them out awesome on tour. I think it's a style choice.

 

Well, to be clear, slow and angry works just as well for Thrice as does fast and angry. In some cases, it may even work better (looking at you, "Yellow Belly", or even "Beggars"). But I would be excited to hear a few bangers on the next outing.

 

I hope they hit the studio 1H 2017 lol.

 

They are playing at the new HOB Anaheim on March 7th with Manchester Orchestra. Wonder if this will be a tour?

Please no. Manchester has already ruined 3 Thrice/Brand New concerts for me. I mean I'll take what I can get but I'd much rather a Thrice/Brand New tour since Brand New is wrapping up....

LOL what are you talking about Manchester is probably a top 5 live band in the scene!!!

 

Different people like different bands. I can't stand Brand New or Manchester Orchestra.

 

Would absolutely love to see Manchester Orchestra with Thrice

 

Was lucky enough to see them together in Cleveland in 2010 before that tour got cut short
