Games that you can listen to your own music during are the bomb. I swear certain albums make my Balatro runs improve.

 

For some reason I’ve never been able to vibe to a game if I’m not hearing the game music.

 

If it's something basic like a Mario sidescroller I can deal with it if necessary, but not in something immersive like a Zelda game

 

its like my brain knows what its hearing and what its seeing are from two totally different things so it can't focus on either properly

 

These aren't hard and fast rules, but typically if a game has voice acting, I'm not playing music, and if there isn't, then I will, unless there's a compelling reason for me not to.

That said, how well I listen to my music depends on how hard I'm concentrating. Something with dialogue or that I need to think about, I'm probably only barely registering what I'm hearing.

Something with a lot of repetitive action is best. The less I have to think, the easier it is to zone out to my music and vibe.

i remain uninterested tbh. i've watched people play and it just meh. not my thing.

 

If it does ever release on PS5 I’d probably check it out if it’s ever on sale. Otherwise it’s not super of interest for me either lol

 

I’ve got no interest in it. Would rather give something like enshrouded a shot

 

dredge and the story so far/nx worries/my chemical romance is the vibes for the weekend

 

I was listening to nxworries while playing elden ring all day yesterday

 

I loveeeeee hearing in game soundtracks and I’ll listen to them on their own sometimes. I had every WoW soundtrack from vanilla to wrath on repeat for years

 

I have too much undiagnosed ADD to listen to anything else while playing games. I constantly rewind shows or YouTube videos if I’m scrolling on Twitter while watching them. I also literally do anything else other than write patient notes while at work which would save me time and grief.

 

It just took me forever to watch one episode of the boys because of this

 

Oh my god I have a huge collection of physical ps3 games and my ps3 takes up an unnecessary amount of shelf space but I never touch it this would be sick

 

I mean not to be a Debbie downer but I literally don’t think that’s physically possible.

 

they need to bring papers please to consoles

 

Microsoft have done it for a ton of older games after the Series X/S launched, so it seems possible if they invest in doing it.

 

Idk the ps3 has a notoriously wonky infrastructure I don’t really see how they could do it but I also don’t pretend to understand tech wizardry kind of stuff maybe it’ll just be an emulated version

 

they could do it via emulation ofc but I don’t think they could do it natively with the current PS5

 

Missed the 'natively' part, my bad. Emulation of PS3 games locked to that system would be a no brainer though. Wild to me that MGS4 is still only playable on a PS3.

 

Well Konami is probably going to include it in the second MGS collection, so...
