I have been explicitly told by basically every person I’ve met from St Louis that the Arch is not that great haha. Like that’s the first thing they tell me about STL when I ask it’s so weird lol. I’ll ask “hey what should I go see if I visit STL” and it’s always “1) don’t bother with the Arch” lol

what are 3 million people doing in a metro area that everyone who lives there seems to think is boring and not that special lol. There are so many great cities that size - Portland, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Denver, San Diego etc. Even if Charlotte and Tampa are a little bland I still wouldn’t say the things STL folks say about STL
