Amazing time to see them. Really wish tickets weren't so expensive, and that I didn't have medical issues... otherwise I'd happily be watching them live this tour. Really can't wait for those streams/pro-recording shows again (I think the next one is reading/leeds?)

That isn’t what I wrote, Jason. Not sure how you’re possibly interpreting what I wrote as me saying that I received a standing ovation after making a throwaway joke on the internet. What I wrote was: 1. Unpopular as it may have been, I am sorry that my shit joke annoyed you enough that you even remembered my username and referenced my old post. It isn’t that serious, my man! 2. Wow, a lot of nostalgia for me in this thread: getting excited to see Mark, Tom, and Travis perform songs from blink, BCR, and +44, and seeing Jason "Power Trip" Tate be a total dick to a random commenter. It's like 2003 all over again

 

I like that throwback letter “F” shirt but geez the Work Sucks shirt is terrible lol.

 

I love Blink, but I've always felt their merch was mostly terrible.

Thanks for the kind words. For what it’s worth, my wife tells me I’m unfunny all of the time. I embrace it, as long as I’m entertaining myself. Never meant it to be taken as anything serious. I didn’t think anyone would take it personal, given that I sincerely doubt the members of the band would’ve ever seen it in a billion years. Regardless, it clearly made someone feel bummed out unintentionally. I hope everyone has a badass day and does something that they love at some point. For future reference, if I happen to post something at some point in the future and you think it’s funny, will you please like and comment? It would really help me out.

If being sarcastic about wanting likes and comments on a website without many of either is embarrassing for me, I dunno man. You’re the one who apparently thinks they matter, so I think that’s more a statement on you. But hey - we clearly have very different relationships with the internet. I’ve been a casual fan of Chorus/Absolutepunk since about 2005, and I’ve always appreciated the community here. I felt compelled to create an account to comment on this situation with BradBradley.

He made a lighthearted joke about Blink 182, and I honestly don’t see anything wrong with it. It feels like he’s being unfairly targeted for just trying to add a bit of humor. This kind of reaction from Jason, the site owner, seems out of place and uncalled for.

Bradley, your joke was harmless, and it’s unfortunate that it was met with such hostility. I hope you know that not everyone here shares that sentiment. It’s surprising and disappointing to see such a response from someone who should be fostering a welcoming environment.

Let’s remember that we all come here to enjoy music and connect with others who share our interests. There’s no need for unnecessary aggression. Let’s keep things positive and supportive
