This is less showy than See You in Chemistry but I hope people latch onto it still bc Lucas’ lyrics and the songwriting are so fucking sharp on this. Really proud of these guys

 

Never really listened to this band before but I’m enjoying this

 

This band is really killing it, I hope this records blows them up. It's stacked top to bottom.

 

Wax bodega is the new triple crown, so much great stuff coming out of this label

 

I’ve always been pretty casual on this band but I think this album has taken them to the next level for me. Loving this thing.

 

Echoing the positive sentiment in here. The back half of this goes crazy. Really enjoying the lyricism.

Between this record and Origami Angel, it feels like these bands are bringing that Relient k/Motion City Soundtrack sense of melody and wordplay back and I am all for it.

 

man this is such a charismatic record. stuck in my straw and what are you a cop? have been on constant repeat since friday.

 

I felt like this really didnt stick with me like the other LP did. maybe a few more listens

 

I'd never listened to these guys before, but just heard What Are You, A Cop? and it rules

 

This is kind of where I’m at too. Though I think part of my problem is that a lot of the heaters are in the back half and I just haven’t been making it that far on most of my listens.

 

up until this record i hadn't listened to this band much at all outside of really big shrimp.

this album is blowing me away after a few days with it. it really is an album that is best consumed as a whole. i think it's sequenced perfectly to blow you away at the end. masterful performance both lyrically and vocally imo

gotta go check out their last LP now.

 

Just gotta agree with two things here - it's less showy (but still fun), and really - masterful performance/songwriting with those lyrics/delivery, hits hard!

What Are You, A Cop? is so damn good

 

how about The Impact of This Exit?! Made me cry, and the fact they enter each chorus one beat later gave me chills too, well done

 

This record really hitting today.
