Definitely my thing as well.

 

Tentatively excited, I was obsessed with everything Conor oberst for an unhealthy amount of time but never really connected with down in the weeds (or the re-recordings for that matter).

 

In fact I think down in the weeds is my least fav bright eyes album/ep other than collection of songs

 

I do like this album, but gotta agree it's probably my least favorite album aside from Collection.

I really dug the re-records on the other hand

 

Yeah the more I think about it some of the re recordings are pretty great

 

Put them all in one playlist, hit shuffle, and enjoy....

in fact, I am going to do that soon as well

Down in the Weeds took a while to really hit for me, but it's a huge step up from People's Key and I might like it overall more than Cassadaga (though admittedly that has a good handful of songs better than anything on it).

 

I loved Down in the Weeds. To Death's Heart is a benchmark Conor song for me

 

down in the weeds is great, i still listen to it all the time

 

same. stairwell song is one of his best
