MVC2 was my go-to game at mall arcades back in the day

but hot damn that new Zelda game

 

We had an MVC2 machine at the bowling alley down the street from where I grew up, and I used to play that constantly while my parents played their adult league bowling tournaments

 

best final Switch direct I couldve hoped for

 

Actually, turns out it's a collab between the Danganronpa guy and the Zero Escape guy.

 

Also, shout out to Fantasian for no longer being landlocked to Apple Arcade. Looking forward to that.

 

I don't know why I let myself believe Xenoblade Chronicles X every single time.

A new Donkey Kong would be better, but Returns without the awful Wii controls will be fun.

 

Without having seen anything my guess is that Mario and Luigi: Brothership is a game where the power ups transform them into different types of ships to progress through the levels

 

hell even better, the somnium files games were incredible in their own right too

 

I think my only real concrete hope for the Zelda game is that it’s a bit longer than Link’s Awakening. I love that game for the record, but I’m hoping this one takes longer than a single weekend

 

Actually, according to the premise they use a ship to navigate the world. Also, it's an RPG, so there are no "levels".

 

Directs at the end of a consoles life are so cool. “Here’s some really smaller stuff we made plus an insane amount of incomprehensible garbage games by borderline shovelware developers” lol

I can’t remember the last time I turned my Switch on, but… Mario and Luigi, Marvel vs Capcom, Zelda, and Dragon Quest are worth checking out. I know there was a port of Prime 1 recently. They should do 2 and 3 too before 4 comes out.

 

Eh, I wasn't jazzed about the number of licensed games highlighted like the Hello Kitty and Looney Tunes games, but they're for the kids and there were plenty of announcements for older gamers. I don't think that's really a fair description.

 

Think about what Zelda is going to be able to do with that echo staff in the next SSB game

and an actual fucking look at Metroid Prime 4, i really didn't believe we'd see this game today
also, Zero Mission on NSO! i was hoping for that one

this was a rollercoaster of emotion

gotta say, i don't love that the new Zelda is using the exact same Links Awakening graphical style instead of coming up w a new one- i'm not surprised, i know Nintendo wants to save $ instead of creating whole new assets, but i would've liked to see a new art style

 

Dragon quest hd-2D looks insane

 

So, new Mario party instead of adding dlc to the existing? Lame

 

Mario and Luigi games are always a blast. Just hope it’s less hand holdy than dream team

 

I love everything about the LA Art style except for Zelda. I’ll stomach it

 

Kids like good games too, I doubt these kids games will qualify as that lol
