    Hey everyone,

I've got a bit of a busy weekend, so it may not be updated until Monday, but if you want to keep track of the draw, the Google Sheet I'll be using is here: Chorus Euro/Copa Draw

Just been in a meeting with a guy at work there, and he revealed he's got tickets to the England games. Said he'd been planning it for years, going to friendlies against nothing teams to build up credit to get tickets priority.

Never been so jealous in my life.

You know you’re getting old when you put your actual birthday into FM and it doesn’t seem unrealistic :verysad:

Hopefully a sign of things to come for United, not paying silly money and being taken advantage of.

Meeting in the middle at £45/50m plus bonuses seems fair, if Everton want/ need to do a deal for PSR reasons.

Apparently Everton have no intention of selling for less than 80m. And they shouldn’t. He’s their best defender and probably future captain.

Yeah, and with Berrada there’s a high chance we actually do move on to second choices rather than waste the summer waiting.

Completely fair enough, and United will likely move on if that's the case. Think United are probably trying to chance it a bit as there's rumours Everton need some sales before June 30th.

Can't help but feel like we're being bullied. Firstly, there's a leak Btanthwaite has agreed personal times. Now this shitty offer. Ratcliffe's had the United DoF on his chemicals, surely?

Apparently it's an all equity offer, too, so he won't be lending money with big interest rates against Bramley Moore Dock.

For what it’s worth out of all the CB options linked with United I see Branthwaite as the worst fit for this squad. His recovery pace and aerial ability would obviously be huge assets, but we’re looking for someone to partner with Martinez and Branthwaite is very much an LCB from what I’ve seen. I also respectively don’t think he’s good enough with the ball at his feet and playing out of the back for a team that will be looking to have majority of the possession throughout most games. Obviously he’s young and will clearly improve on that and playing for Everton definitely hasn’t allowed him to showcase that side of his game too much, but we need someone to come in and hit the ground running in that regard. Lastly I just don’t think we’re in any sort of position to be paying anything near a Maguire level transfer fee on another CB, even if that kind of investment would pay off over the years.
