Supreme Court really trying to kill is all huh.

 

Going to be historically hot all next week and of course my son has three baseball games AND a tournament.

Very neat.

 

Good news: the mRNA vaccines will now have a more up to date variant booster in the fall

Bad news: the antibodies they create aren’t nearly as good or lasting as the ones Novavax does, but Novavax won’t be able to produce one for the new variant because it takes 6 months to do protein based vaccines, so they will be Jn.1 which should kind of work on current variant but won’t be as matched

I’ll see what some of the medical folks I follow say about it and probably decide from there in the fall. Would really love to stick with Novavax

Also, six justices just agreed that when congress banned machine guns, they weren’t trying to regulate those weapons because of their ability to rapidly fire hundreds of rounds. Rather, they were concerned with whether the shooter needed to engage his index finger to effectuate the rapid fire. It was really a finger regulation all along.

To this point, I like Sotomayor a lot, but every time she does this I feel like she just misses the point. She often times tries to beat the conservatives at their own logic instead of just calling out their blatant bullshit. Don't even bother playing the rigged game they set up.
