Yeah you can't really go wrong. Start with BRAT because it's current and everywhere, start with Charli for diversity, start with Pop 2 for what makes her wild, start with Crash for a smooth entry

 

Yeah can’t go wrong. But Brat seems to be a wonderful entry point for any newcomer. Then you can pick anything after Sucker tbh. I’d go back to Vroom Vroom EP then just cruise through.

Man Sucker feels like listening to a completely different artist. I can't even begin to imagine what her career would look like if that tour with Bleachers hadn't been cancelled and she hadn't been introduced to Sophie and A.G. Cook back then. Her trajectory is wild.

 

I thought of a Jack Antonoff produced Charli record and I lost my will to live

 

pretty sure she was working on a punk record after sucker, I remember she was playing a few songs from it live. her career is definitely better now but I wonder how that would have been

 

Wasn't it after True Romance? From what I remember she then scrapped it and Sucker came out later that year instead. Some of these songs slapped

 

Been going through her discography again because duh and man the back to back of Trophy and Secret is WILD, Secret especially is just so Sophie

Secret is one of my favorites… when it drops into that grotesque, grimy bass and then you get that odd high-pitched screech… and it’s ALMOST really kind of off-putting but it’s absolutely totally not… but then there’s this rubbery sound modulating all over the place…

Every day since brat has been released, I’ve woken up and this has immediately started in my head:

Man the way this album just continues to grow on me is nuts

This is the most I've found myself revisiting a pop record in a while! Love it so much.
