I don't read any other discussion about The Challenge besides this forum. So I'm curious to know, are people for or against Cara Maria? Like I'm wondering if Kam got backlash for what she did to Cara last week.

I think it's a cowardly move when people throw challenges and maneuver against a single person. Always.

I watched tonight's episode and all I have to say is... sorry, karma is a bitch.

 

As always with fans, you have people on all sides. Cara just has a LOT, combine that with the dominating force she has been lately, and the fact she's been gone a looong time..... I'd say just off reddit and the such it was split like 80/20 in favor of Cara.

But there's quite a lot to unpack, with the anti-Cara herd in the house. Prior to filming, and Cara didn't even find out til much later, turns out Laurel had been going around behind her back to all the new people telling them how shady she was, not to trust her, etc. So people even from the beginning had a bad taste of her thanks to Laurel. Then yes, Cara can act....what people call "only child syndrome" lol which also turned them off, especially the ones who had never played a season with her and were not used to her weird ways haha. Then Laurel+Cara+Nicole will NEVER not be drama because Laurel still feels insecure about Nicole trying to hook up with Cara FIRST back in the day and only went to Laurel after Cara turned her down.

In the end, I think Kam and Cara were just on different pages coming into this challenge. But in the end they know it's just a game. I hope. The Laurel+Cara+Nicole drama however, is 10000% real.

(I follow the reddits, most cast twitters, and listen to the podcasts ASAP so I like to stay in the know heh)

 

Omg I completely forgot that Nicole was into Cara first. That changes everything. I remember that now!!!

 

she was OBSESSED with her. Nicole and Laurel are so damn infuriating this season

 

Yup, and it's crazy how something like that stays so relevant in everything thats going on. It was long ago!

 

Had to go back and grab this. Thank you challenge gods for making this a thing we've always known.

 

Cara is a beast. Her biggest downfall was aligning with Paulie. That killed her last few seasons, but this has been her redemption. Even Pauly on his last season got some redemption

 

Yep. She was sailing high until he came into the show. He (rightfully so) pissed off literally everyone by trying to pick fights and be annoying when he couldn't back it up so it was like....why is she aligning herself with someone no one wants to have around? And it's not a situation where, poor Paulie, everyone's picking on him. No, it was this dude is self destructive and trying to blow himself up and bring anyone else caught in its radius down with him......which is what happened with Cara. He was literal poison for her. But both being gone for so long, it looks like Paulie really did some introspection because he seemed more mature and humble in USA2 and I was surprised him and Bananas were able to make up.

 

That was a fun episode. The eliminated challenger, wow. Complete opposite of Laurel, even WITH the disadvantages sheesh. Who would have thought they'd have a good season compared to their last time here? Good thing he's on AS5, I feel he's worthy to be back and complete.

Steve is fucking ruthless and good god is Adam salty as fuck. I posted earlier regarding the Kam situation.....but

Good episode for sure and he surely got some redemption. Curious how this all plays out. I'm thinking double elimination and stars (one of each sex) next week and the final the following week. I'll be so pissed if Cara loses her star at the end.

 

Yeah I figure next week is a double elimination and then time for the finale! Still bummed it's a single winner, it really needs to go back to one male winner and one female winner.

 

Good episode, but having extra stars pisses me off. Also, just give me the whole finale in one episode. First part looked super fun.

 

Yeah I'm not too big a fan of the final being split into multiple episodes. I want it all! Lololol Adam. So salty. I'm really excited to see who wins this all, I'm still hoping Cara pulls it off.

 

Give me Cara or Steve since he definitely earned it. I wouldnt mind Ace either cause he is so likeable. I jst dont want Laurel or Nicole. I used to root for Lee, but not now that he is married to Kam. If I have to hear about a wedding, Kingston, or a house one more time.

 

We've heard so much about Kingston we could be his parents. Every single Challenge fan. I do want Cara to be able to say she best Laurel, just because it's longggg overdue.

In hindsight, one of the worst finals ever. Why would you let the losers choose the outcome? This ain't BB or survivor ffs.

 

Terrible.

Anyways, besides that, came to say... "TJ Lavin was put on this earth for two reasons. To ride bikes and blow air horns!" Haha.

 

He's a treasure and I stand by the opinion that he has so much fun and prefers housing All Stars over the flagship because of the quality of the people.

What a good season, completely nosediving at the end with that finale. I still enjoyed everyone on the show and was happy to see people back that haven't been on in a while. I'm glad it reignited the passion these people had and made them want to return to the show because they're always a welcome sight. People like Jay, Rachel, Cara, Leroy, Steve....they still got it.

is my rankings. 2 is absolutely fucking stacked. 1 and 3 have heavy hitters that could take it all, but 2 is just full of em. 4 will be interesting, but as all challenges go.....get the new kids out first and with this cast? Yeah they'll do as they always do lol.

 

AS4 final was boring because of the stars thing. The actual final was fine. Didn’t make for a compelling episode of television with that.

 

Yeah the stars thing being the decider before the actual final was ran was BS. It should have been ran on equal footing, or something that made them on equal terms. I wouldn't have wanted Cara to have all the stars cuz that would have made it lopsided too.....make Cara and Laurel be on the same level ffs.

 

Should have had them earn the eliminated stars or something. I get the concept but the execution was terrible.
