Ace Combat always looks so good but I've never played one

 

A lot of people haven't, probably because it's difficult to actually get a copy of any of the games. Ace Combat has the same issue as racing games. Because they use licenses for their aircraft, they never get re-released and eventually get delisted from digital stores. It's a shame because the mainline series are all bangers. But also, Ace Combat has its own lore. So if you jump into Ace Combat 7, you'll probably be confused. But it's supremely well designed and just about perfect mechanically. So you should play it anyway because it's just a great game. Also, the OST to these games are next level.

Player's Log: This Is The Way(Forward)

I rebooted my WayFoward run, I want to do this properly, and so I made a list of their games in more or less historical order, and I'm going to run through them, starting with their earliest titles.

I won't play every game, since in their infancy they did a lot of edutainment games and they've also put out a lot of licensed crap, but they've made quite a lot of choice stuff.

Right now I'm playing what was probably their first real Game with a capital G, a Game Boy Color title called Wendy: Every Witch Way, which was meant to be a tie-in for a cartoon reboot that never got off the ground.

As it is, it's a really clever platformer, and you can see the DNA for some of their future games in the mechanics and style. The hook is that Wendy can reverse her gravity, so you need to use that to traverse the levels and collect stars. It's a short game, I'm already halfway through.

 

Oh God, this one level is giving me VVVVVV flashbacks.

 

AC7 got announced for switch back in January to be released next month which is funny to me bc bamco hasn’t said shit about that port since then

 

I have a Wii u only for x and bayo 2 since it was only available on that when it first came out.

 

They're probably scrambling to get it running properly. It runs at like 42fps on the base Xbox One and it's a UE4 title. So you know they're struggling to get that game running at a locked 30fps on the Switch. lol

 

I loved Origins, never played 2, and only played a few hours of Inquisition. Definitely want to go back to it when I have free time (lol)

 

May need to boot up Wipeout this weekend after watching this

I have it for PS4 and i loved it, having the game portably would be ideal for me since im on vacation next month, so I hope they’re makin it work.

I’ve had no success getting it to run it tried to launch goes white and closes but I haven’t tried in a long time
