Between this and this, hell yeah, we need more werewolf flicks.

    Weirdly - I re-watched The Conjuring 2 last night.

Also, just realized one of our smaller theater chains is showing I Saw the TV Glow. Debating on doing a screening tomorrow or Thursday, or just waiting to watch at home on Friday. I use my Regal pass for everything so shelling out $15 for one movie isn't super appealing.

  15. Suspiria remake is good but def feels like a Von Trier film and I prefer the original. My podcast cohost and her friends/family are obsessed with it though. Thom Yorke's score rules

I haven't seen the Suspiria remake since theaters but I remember people laughing out loud during the big climatic moment. Can't remember why other than at the time thinking how bad the musical choice was. Might be one I need to watch again.

Conjuring and Conjuring 2 (both due a rewatch actually) are so good. The third one is SO bad.

  18. Agreed. There shouldn't be aa Conjuring universe, it should have ended with the second one.

I straight up turned off Conjuring 3 at the scene with the old priest saying he was keeping satanic artifacts “off the streets”.

Touching on the Susperia remake, I think I prefer the original too. Remake is good and I appreciated the commitment to doing its own thing that said but the original is just so iconic and that Goblin score is a top ten of the genre imo.

I don’t even remember this it was so bad, but it’s so funny that it makes me want to rewatch.

I still think the Olga death scene in Suspiria remake is the best death scene of last decade. absolutely unbelievable

the whole movie is a fucked up fever dream and I love it

    Suspiria remake is great.

The more conjuring, the better. Give me all the monster of the week style episodes for a show.

I'm also in the camp of being happy if more movies in that universe keep coming out. There's definitely some big whiffs but I dig it overall.
