Hot take but as much as I love AC I also love the modern day stuff and the Isu alien stuff.

 

Valhalla was the first game in a while that had an interesting modern day ending with Basim but I never did play Mirage to see what they did with the character

 

Half Genie Hero, nine hours in, 99% completion so far, just gotta get through the final stage! and I haven't even gotten to the dlc yet!

 

It was a nice lil introduction to him and didn't get into the Valhalla Isu stuff until the very very end. It really did feel like a return to old school AC in a way and I got plenty of enjoyment out of it. No modern day stuff so there's still a lot of questions I'm super interested in seeing them get back to in Shadows.

 

he was the guy who kept hyping Mass Effect Andromeda to high heavens and then when reviews hit and players actually played it he suddenly "disappeared" and then it turns out he was affiliated with BioWare / a paid shill and now works in marketing and keeps hyping up every mediocre looking space RPG. He's just not to be taken seriously.

 

Ah. Never played Andromeda but yes I remember the launch well.

I'm all in on Dragon Age: The Veilguard hype. I'm so annoyed at the gatekeepy losers who kept me away from Dragon Age for so long. 100% gonna play the hell out of Veilguard.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has a lot of promise. I'm not as immediately sold as I assumed I'd be when I heard about it but I'll still give it a shot.

I know nothing about WoW lore (nor will I ever) but The War Within looks soooooo good. I wish I could play WoW but it's very intimidating to get into a MMO this late. I think I'd be good at WoW though. Not world racer good but good enough.

Very excited to get into MGS

Flintlock looks very fun, and it's soon! That's cool

Gonna play so much Fable, definitely my most anticipated from Microsoft as a whole

I keep saying I'ma play Flight Simulator and never do, maybe this is the time but I'll probably not think about it again but it's so wonderful.

It's nice to see some positivity in here as the youtube comments are all so lame and complainy. I've never played perfect dark but the trailer looks awesome yet somehow the comments are full of complaints about the tone being wrong, and the story probably being changed and the usual crap of 'it's 2024! The Jedi are bad now! reeks of being made for modern audiences' etc. Then the fable trailer is full of people whining about the look of the female character and that they better be able to make their own... sigh. Let's not even get into the AC comments.

RE WOW - I played back in the day so I wasn't a total noob, but when I jumped back in before the last expansion, the game did a great job of handing out the info needed and getting you up to speed. It's so much less intimidating and more friendly to newcomers than before. The players on the other hand... if you want to group and do content that others have done, it's a do your own research on the bosses / best way to play your class in that situation type thing, as people won't have patience if you're weak in a group.

Fable / Indiana Jones / Avowed / Perfect Dark / Doom all look dope and shortly I'm sure I can add dragon age to that list.

 

Yeah what intimidates me the most about it is the fact that I have to also learn about all the add-ons and the way concepts like raiding work in the first place (I know how they work in FFXIV but not in other MMOs), and how to properly gear up with the existing content, etc etc. I have no idea what keys are. It's all a lot to think about haha

For someone not into this series, but will start at the very least with this, what didn't work for you? I may or may not play inquisition, but I think I'll be all over this when it comes out. Looks cool. I understand the basics in that it's different from the prior games but beyond that?

There’s really a handful of “mandatory” PvE addons at this point. And obviously a ton of QOL shit for professions and miscellaneous stuff

They get a lot of criticism for cringey dialogue (deservedly so in the first game...) but I've really enjoyed all of them. Didn't feel like True Colours got talked about much when it was released but it was a really solid entry.

 

Same one, guy has nailed things before apparently. I’m not so worried about the date being wrong.
