This was great. I like that both Powell and Sweeney are proving that the new model for getting to the next level as a movie star is investing in your own career.

 

He is to that movie what McConaughey was to Dazed, in that he stole the entire movie through sheer charisma and became the most memorable part even though he was a supporting character.

 

Finally watched Everybody Wants Some a month or two ago, and that movie fucking rocks.

 

I think he has more screen time than McConaughey does but I absolutely agree. I also think Wyatt Russell steals every scene he’s in too.

 

I just realized be the dude who plays Jasper in this was in Everybody Wants Some too.

Both Adria and Glen are unbelievably hot in this movie.

Fine so far. Pacing is a bit off. Not loving it

 

Yeah pretty lukewarm on this. Bummer

 

We were watching it at the same time.

It was fine. It is his best film in almost a decade but it is a minor work. The guy from Top Gun was good but I was disappointed to find out that Jasper wasn't the Viking from Game of Thrones.
