im taking """"sick leave"""" / told my boss I wouldn't be working today bc I'm sick and will put PTO in tomorrow even though I don't think workday allows you to do that

 

Most people I know actually say "banged in sick"

100% true. I mean, I don't know a whole lot of people, but my friend who is a postman says it. The one person I talk to regularly at work says it. And when I worked in a kitchen back in the day that was literally the only term used

I have found that if you say "I'll put in my sick time when I feel better" and then just never do it, no one notices. Mostly because tracked sick days is dumb and like 86% of the country agrees on that which is pretty rare lol

I don't think I actually used any PTO/sick time when I was in and out due to my back stuff a few months ago.
