Had quite the debacle last night. We went to see PVRIS and got food beforehand. We parked in this parking garage that I’d never parked in before, it was right next to where we were eating so it was more convenient than parking near the venue. There were signs all over that said you needed your ticket to regain entry in the garage, ok no problem.

Anyways the elevator to exit the garage was broken so we took the stairs, not really thinking anything of it. When we try to get back into the garage later, apparently the only public way to get back into the garage was to take said elevator, which is still broken?? We call the number that’s listed on the elevator and they say that there’s supposed to be a security guard on site that is letting people inside for this commercial property building that’s above this parking garage, they have their own elevator to get back to the garage, however there is no security guard to be found. Basically they were saying it’s not their problem (even though it’s their elevator that’s broken)

So then I called the number that’s on this building for their on-call property management company who tells me it’s the other companies fault that the elevator is broken and they had no knowledge they were supposed to have one of their security guards letting people into their building to use their elevator. They also could not get ahold of this mysterious security guard who’s supposed to be on-site letting people inside.

After about 45 minutes of just standing their dumbfounded, and keep in mind it’s like midnight at this point and I just want to go to sleep, the security guard finally shows up, and there’s probably 10 now of us who haven’t been able to get to our cars. He opens the door and the first thing he says is “they don’t pay me enough for this shit,” and all of us who had been in a very shitty mood just start laughing lol.

Anyways what a complete clusterfuck. Neither company wanted to take responsibility for the shitshow, and what a completely idiotic way to build a parking garage. The only public way back inside is through an elevator entrance?? There’s literally two other doors that lead into the parking garage, the stair exit we came out of originally, and another one next to the entrance of the garage, but neither of them will let you back inside. Complete dumbassery
