I have swiped right on someone I knew from high school just to see what would happen

The few times I would see someone I knew from work or school on a dating site I would immediately block them so I'd never have to worry about accidentally getting paired with them or messsged from them.

 

I don't see why seeing someone from work on tinder is awkward just....swipe left

 

When I used to see friends on Tinder, I didn't realty wanna know what way they swiped...so I just closed out of the app and restarted it every time

 

Or conversely swipe right and joke about it at work the next day.

 

There's this cute girl who is friends with a friend of mine and I've swiped right on her two times and nothing and sad.

 

If that's the most embarrassing thing you can see happening to you, then you either live a charmed life or lack imagination.

Tinder hasn't been working for me today and I'm pretty salty about it.

 

I've been debating installing it, but I'm worried my awful habit of getting to know someone and being interested but fleeing due to anxiety as soon as things get sort of serious comes back

 

yeah that'll be about 90% of your matches that you'll talk to and then either someone cancels or just stops responding. 8% will never even respond. 2% you'll actually meet up with.

 

This is also why I haven't downloaded it yet. I don't want to deal with the constant disappointment

I gave up on tinder after like five days because the ratio of fake accounts to real accounts was just sad.

 

my fav thing to do when nearly blackout drunk and checking my phone before bed is to swipe right on everyone, get a bunch of matches, then never message them because i'm too hungover

Hey, the more you get rejected...the easier it will become. Rejection therapy, it's a real thing!

As far as Tinder goes, I've gone on it just to see who is on there but I've never actually used it properly. To be honest, I just find like 5% of the people on there attractive. I don't mean to say that I'm shallow (i probably am) but I just have a really hard time finding people physically attractive unless I know what their personality is like. Like, with my ex, now I think she's fucking gorgeous/insanely hot but when I first met her?? Meh. I thought she looked frumpy. But as I got to know her she became attractive to me.

Oh also I texted that girl and, in so many words, told her I had a lot of fun and that were we to watch scary movies and make out again, I would be ok with that and she said she too had fun and that we should definitely hang out again.
