No but I live in NJ who's transit system could see impacts from the congestion pricing. The goal of congestion pricing is to get people to use public transportation to get to the city, and many of these people commute to work from NJ. NJ Transit funding is a mess in itself, but if these actions are gonna put more strain on our transit system, then we ought to get a portion of the funds raised from the toll to improve the efficiency and capacity of the system. MTA is the only one benefiting here and getting all the funds. Obviously you can argue it's NYCs tax so of course they should get all the revenue, but it's a policy that will hurt many out of state commuters who won't see the benefit. And that's the same concern I have seen from many who live in NJ. And if you're letting actual citizens say what is fair or not, a majority of them, at least of according to polls, don't think it is fair lol

  10. A portion of the funds lol? Is NJ going to help collect it, at all? Should Connecticut owe neighboring states money if it collects tolls at borders for cargo trucks because that reduces thru traffick for those trucks which puts strain on those states' roads? I get your point but is this logic applied anywhere else ever for similar tolls? Seems like this ends up with a byzantine series of financial arrangements between states where they end up having less control over their revenue because its bound up the toll policies of other states

Sure yeah makes sense some of the revenue should be shared with NJ transit

But take a poll of the people who live or work in the effected areas, not just a bunch of people who live in NY State

I imagine in a state like Idaho one road closure could mean quite a long detour
