TBH I think this is a strategic move towards any future negotiations with Russia; keeping Ukraine out of NATO I assume is a sticking point for Putin, so this move is probably to keep some leverage for whenever negotiations eventually happening. At least this is my read on this

Ukraine breaks new ground with air and sea attacks on Russia

Yeah I've been following many different Telgram channels during this war, and over the last few weeks the battlefield feels like its shifting in Ukraine's favor, slowly. The push towards Kharkiv has failed/stalled, the pace of attacks on Russian air-defense and radar systems is picking up, more Russian jets are being damaged/destroyed, there's reports of remaining Russian assets leaving Crimea, and the pace of Western arms to Ukraine is picking up (Ukrainian air defense systems finally being restored to optimum levels). Russian recruitment of new troops is as strong as ever, but the loss of equipment is as high as ever, much faster than they can build new ones (all they can manage is bringing out the remaining machines from storage), so their ability to move troops around and push across the front has been greatly diminished. Long way to go, but I think the worst from the last few months is over, for now at least.

Ukraine has also signed deals to have Swedish CV90's (cousin to US Bradley) produced both in Ukraine and in Sweden/Netherlands, and more tank/IFV repair factories in Ukraine as well, which will speed up repair cycles for damaged equipment.
