I’m against Yeti the way a lot of people were really against Kraken

 

If they become the Yeti their mascot has to be a thermos

 

A thermos mascot is the closest thing that franchise will get to a Stanley Cup

 

You should pick the worst name imo

 

Had a feeling the opening goal of the Final would be either Hyman for Edmonton or Verhaeghe for Florida, and Verhaeghe it is.

 

And how did 6 of the worst choices on a whole list of awful become the 6 finalists? Should have gone with Swarm, Hive, or Buzz. It is the beehive state after all.

Singular nouns for sports teams should be illegal. Currently existing ones can be grandfathered, but from here on out, straight to jail.

“Venom” as the name of a sports team is making me irrationally angry. Idk why, that word just does not compute in my brain as a word that works with sports. If anything maybe an XFL team or an AI generated list of names in Madden but that’s it.

 

It’s crazy how good Bob is when he’s at the top of his game, especially with how shitty he can be

 

I am hoping if the Devils get Markstrom, he can go on a Bob-like turnaround

People wanted this guy bought out like 18 months ago

 

Also worth noting he sucked the first two rounds of the playoffs, but that speaks to the larger point of not needing elite goaltending to win the cup. You just need a guy who can get hot at the right time, and he’s doing just that.
