The Cubs aren't the only team to take on a person of questionable character. Pump the brakes.

 

He made it pretty clear that they weren't the only team to do that

 

Nathan directly said that in his post...

 

So with the win all but sealed up how many teams are tanking on purpose with the hopes of being the next Cubs?

 

I only read the first bit of the post, so I probably missed something in there. Not sure why I posted to that topic any way. Carry on.

Whew this game is great

 

Sports are pretty copycat, so I would say some will definitely try. I just think you need an owner and front office truly committed and able to set a scouting staff that can identify trades to make and players to draft. But a mid market team can't really hit on a bunch of position prospects and just sign an ace in the off-season for $200-$300M. That ability (if needed) and then the way Arrieta happened are just hard to replicate for others clubs.
