I know my circle of music people isn’t indicative of the entire market, but they all eat up everything Manchester Orchestra releases while probably could not name a Thrice song since Beggars.

The most I’ve heard any of my friends talk about thrice is the rerelease of AITA.

 

Saw that VIP comes with a Thrice/Manchester 12 inch split. Wonder what they’ll do this time.

The disrespect for Thrice in this forum is wild lol. Their run from Artist in the Ambulance through Major/Minor is incredible. Especially Vheissu, Alchemy Index, and Beggars, but to be fair that is before-early on for Manchester Orchestra even putting out albums. So there's definitely a generational gap to keep in mind too.

 

I'm not dissing them at all. I just never had a desire to listen to them.

 

the only thrice album I don’t think is good is Palms

 

even then it still has a song like beyond the pines which clears 90% of the stuff covered on this website
