If Slayer and the Postal Service are big enough to headline... Paramore definitely is. Whether they do or not is another thing.

 

Paramore could headline.. I don't think they are though - I'd be ok with being wrong .. if they just would release the lineup!! lol

 

Pixel Grip looks highly probable.

 

Manchester Orchestra remains super likely. No Chicago date on their co-headlining run with Thrice later in the fall.

Not necessarily. The Thrice run starts in November. But they definitely aren't ruled out.

 

Honestly I left B-52s after two songs. Sound was terrible and there was so much movement in the outer layers of the crowd that I couldn't take it.

They've been real sassy online today. Hoping for tomorrow but we'll see

 

MO is doing their own east coast/midwest run in September that would line them up for Riot. I would say they are likely at this point

 

They'll let us know the night before. They tend to send out a tweet that just says like "See you tomorrow!" or something.

Pretty sure all this is just them bumping up engagement to prime the algorithm or whatever. They do it every year.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. Haha. The east coast run ending on like, 9/19 or whatever, and lacking a Chicago date... And this new run not having one as well.

It's about as close to a "lock" as you can get without a leak TBH.

 

The fact that they have responded as much today as they have makes me think there is still a good shot it is coming out this week.

 

It's definitely possible. I tweeted out a bit of "reply bait" to see if I can get them to respond in the negative to the line-up coming out tomorrow... But I think I may have been a bit too late because the flurry of responses seems to have stopped. LOL

 

the tweet about them still having three months to put out the lineup makes me think its gotta be close.

 

Alex G is super unlikely since he is between albums. I imagine if/when he does return though he will be much higher up on the lineup.

 

Buzzcocks said “Sorry, no other dates beyond what’s now on Live — Buzzcocks, with the exception of one U.S. festival date to be announced soon.” Just in case it needed to be any clearer that they are a lock.

 

They just replied to someone calling them unprofessional. I do believe that we decided that means it is time.

 

I was just coming back here to share that tweet. Haha. They appear to have ignored my tweet betting them that there's a line-up drop coming tomorrow... So. Maybe tomorrow we get a pre-announcement? (I'm half-joking.)

Didn’t he just cancel a tour because of an injury? Face. Palm.

Cudi would be a cool get. But am I wild for thinking he’d be a weak headliner? I had him pegged as like, a Radical/Rise closer if he were ever to play…

 

Do you think if we are getting Beck we are getting regular Beck or orchestral Beck? Because Beck with like, the Chicago Philharmonic backing him would be kinda dope. That’s what Laufey is doing at Lollapalooza this year.

Edit: Looks like the September dates are not orchestral, but still would be cool.
