Thinking of taking a little break before I dive fully into Rebels. The contrast in tone of how Andor depicts the Rebellion vs Rebels is going to be really jarring, and I got to let that sit a little bit lol

 

Also I know there is one very important critical moment for a major character in Andor that takes place in Rebels, that Andor season 2 can't not depict, as it's what that character's entire arc is leading up to. I am very interested to see how Gilroy is going to show a different perspective of that moment in Andor and how much they're going to crossover with Rebels when they do.

Finally got around to Bad Batch season 3. Seven episodes in and it’s all killer no filler so far.

I like Rebels a lot, but the lack of animation budget in the first 2 seasons is very telling. I am sure it gets better in later seasons but still. Soooo many characters with their eyes hidden lol

trying to convince my partner to stay up and watch it when it drops at 9, but we tend to turn in around 10-ish, so idk if that's gonna happen tonight. definitely tomorrow if not.

 

I made a trip to the library today and got Thrawn. On page 50 right now and really good. Going to try to read this trilogy as I am watching Rebels. I'll read The Ascendancy trilogy after that.

Also I used Hoopla with my library card to get all or Charles Soule's run of Darth Vader comics, which is basically like Vader: Year One, and takes place around the same early Empire time period as The Bad Batch.

 

I got Visions Of The Future (1998, also Timothy Zahn) a couple weeks ago, but I could not get into it. Way too much repeating scenes from the OT. I didn’t like it nearly as much as the earlier Zahn stuff I’ve checked out

that trilogy is my favorite Star Wars books other than shadows of the empire

Looks like The Acolyte is about on par with Ahsoka on RottenTomatoes, for what it’s worth (it’s not worth much)

 

First two episodes are solid, but with as short as they are, I really do feel like a bulk release would work better.

 

Only watched the first episode, it was ok. Lots of corny dialogue

 

I mean Star Wars in general is kinda filled to then brim with corny dialogue, it's just something you gotta endure.
