Florida’s a one trick pony. If you love swimming and Latin food + seafood, which I do, it can be pretty fun for awhile. If you don’t love those things, well, all the shitty shit about Florida stands out more lol

People in Jacksonville are very friendly and that’s one thing I liked about it. Very easy to make friends there. If you have a passion and you put yourself out there you will easily find like minded people.

Unfortunately that also comes with the downside of like. Shitheads aren’t held accountable because people think “being loyal” is more important than doing the right thing. So you also see a pattern absolute douchebag narcissists being popular and not ever getting called out for their behavior. Whereas, I like how the northeast cities I’ve lived in are much less “southern tacitness and performative camaraderie” and more “I’m gonna tell you what needs to be said & if it hurts our relationship maybe it needed to be re-evaluated anyway.”

Baltimore’s in between the two so I love it here. Warm and open like Jax / Atlanta, but honest and not mincing words or faking energy like the northeast

What seems to be the problem Shak?

 

i looked some stuff up and it seems Gainesville is actually (marginally so) more humid than Jacksonville, which is more humid than Columbia. I've lived both in Gainesville and Columbia. science can fuck off, Columbia is entirely blacktop and much more hot lol

 

I always thought hot/humid was the same anywhere. That quickly changed when I was in Arkansas during August. It was so hot we actually tried to fry an egg on our vans hood.

That was back when I toured in bands. Wearing skinny jeans in 1,000 degree weather was certainly a choice.
