Largely cooler weather year round (we just have our bad days here and there) as opposed to it being 100+ for months and months and I have a decent wall AC unit and a portable AC unit for the rough days.

 

I just don't let it get as cool as I'd prefer it to be because it'll cost me a ton of money I can't really afford to part with rn

Excuse me I am from Jacksonville Florida

I played soccer and football and kickball and frisbee etc during summer camps every single day in 98 degree 100% humidity weather. I was born in it. Molded by it.

 

Move to Hawaii

 

I’ve sat on boats fishing in that weather with no shade anywhere around, I’ve been to many Jaguars games in that weather, and I do not miss it! But silence, South Carolina

However, I do miss going to beaches and springs and shit weekly, and everyone having at least one friend who has a pool and hosts pool parties, and everyone having at least one friend with a boat etc. Those are Florida things that you can’t really replicate elsewhere in the US.

Going to springs and beaches requires far more stressful costly planning and travel elsewhere. there are a lot of boaters in New England and Maryland but it’s a much more classist expensive thing rather than a “if you work really hard you can have a boat” thing.

And those spots end up being way more touristy/crowded than they were in FL because they’re not abundant and they are only attractions 3-5 months out of the year rather than 9-12 months. So everyone and their mother goes to Ocean City MD all at the same time, meanwhile Jax beach / Ichetucknee Springs be laid back and uncrowded year round
