I just think at a certain point hand washing becomes moot because every doorknob you touch (let alone anything else) after washing your hands pretty much immediately soils them again with germs. I believe in washing your hands whenever they got dirty or when you went to the bathroom of course cause that obviously involves a lot more illness inducing germs, or when you’re about to handle food. But for normal use of your hands otherwise; you simply cannot practically eliminate germs the way that compulsive hand washers believe they can… washing them is an extremely temporary solution that isn’t nearly as effective against serious illnesses as masks and vaccines in the first place. Best way to avoid ingesting germs on your hands is to touch your face less / keep your hands and fingernails away from your mouth
