That was unpleasant. Hope the rest of the album has some bangers.

Bummer. So many duds in a row, I think it’s time to stop expecting Common Courtesy era songwriting from them.

Sounds like a very shitty beartooth rip off

Guys if he wants your feedback, he’ll let you know.

    But seriously, this stinks.

I was expecting to hate it based on the feedback so far, but I felt ok about it... it's not something I'd be likely to come back to.

I'm fully on board that Common Courtesy is peak ADTR and every time something new is released I hope for more of that lightning in a bottle too...

If you have to ask, you can't afford it

Heard the album's releasing on September 27

Miracle was SUCH a strong track and this is not very good in comparison.

It's not terrible, but it's not that memorable either. I'm a bit disappointed it only clocks in at 2:30 though.

I thought the same. Very generic rock-ish.

The hold this band had on me from FTWHH to CC was insane. I haven’t been able to get into much of anything in the last decade.

The drop off post Common Courtesy is jarring especially You’re Welcome and the singles they’ve released since then. The Facebook comments shit all of these songs too. I don’t get how this band is maintaining their fanbase because they don’t even really cater to nostalgia. This song absolutely blows and unless they are getting the red state butt rock crowd, I don’t know what part of their fanbase actually enjoys these songs.

Truly probably a very small percentage but I think most of their listeners know they’ll play 90% old material and that’s why their tours still do so well.

Not as bad as I expected based on the comments, I might not change the radio if it was some up and coming band, but not at all what I want out of scene mainstays.

also surprised to see the love for CC, thought the internet (or at least this site) agreed this band was musically toast when that came out

CC is probably my most-played album from them. Absolutely love that record

I'm actually surprised to read this because I was under the impression that both fans and critics were almost unanimous on Common Courtesy being their best album.

As someone that really enjoyed them around CC, I can't believe how bad this is.

I fully remember the reaction to that record being quite positive. Probably helped that they had just won their suit against Tony and Victory and both the band and their fans alike were riding that emotional high, but the record still holds up for me.

Likely the Chorus echo-chamber effect. Homesick is far and away the favorite album with 90% of their fanbase and streaming numbers supports this.

I don't think Homesick has aged well at all. Common Courtesy has way more lasting value.
