Same. It's perfect.

 

Lyrically Pol Roger is one of my favorites, but I have not come around on the chorus. Kinda bums me out.

But other than that this record makes me Chublike.

 

How about those walking bass lines in "The End Is Beautiful?" Rick killed it on this record.

Can't stop listening to Pol Roger. What a fantastic closer.

 

it's my favorite track on here. that chorus is just incredible. especially the 2nd and 3rd time through when jim hits that high harmony. it's perfect.

 

"Pol Roger" is good, but it's a credit to their catalog that it's one of their weakest closers.

A few interesting notes-
JEW had around 2,600,000 monthly listeners a month ago, if I'm not mistaken

They didn't rank in the top 500 a month or so ago.

Spotify is REALLY pushing "Through"

It's on the "About" section of Jimmy Eat World's Spotify page. I think it's visible on mobile but it's much easier to keep track of on the desktop App.

 

As I look I'm now confused how they rank the songs, since "Through" has 22 million less plays than the song ranked right behind it.

 

It's not ranked by total number of plays - I'm pretty sure it's ranked by frequency of plays.
Think of them almost as "trending songs"

 

Definitely not cumulative, probably whatever is currently being streamed most

Tried to listen to Static Prevails today and couldn't get further than track 3 or 4, that album is just never gonna be my jam

 

the middle songs and the closer are the best parts tho

but rockstar is pretty bad yeah
