FYI they basically re-structured every veteran's contract this offseason BUT Hill's

 

He has no guaranteed money after the 2024 season but has big cap hits the last two years. But with the cap continuing to increase every year they could cut their losses if he starts to decline soon.

 

Yeah, cutting him outright next year pre- June 1 is a 22 million dead cap which isn't the worst thing ever

He is quite good, yes.

 

Patriots have quietly built a very healthy environment for rookies to flourish. Yes, it's up to the rookies and yes if Maye and at least one of Polk or Baker don't pan out we're porked. But coming up the only big free agents are like, Stevenson and Judon. The Patriots will be carrying over like $40 million bucks in cap space and will be loaded to the gills with room plus probably a top-10 pick. I think this year is all about development and next year they may be very well positioned to take a leap.
