The raise I asked for was basically adjusting my total compensation (base+bonus) to equal the base of the person they laid off and gave me their job. I figured you're still getting a deal, me doing my old job, my new job and theirs all combined, but I'm getting a significant jump. Win/win for everyone and shows a willingness to invest in me, one of your departments over-producers. So I viewed this whole experience mostly as a "just say yes" thing. They have not.

 

Gotta go cut the grass if you know what I mean.
