Finally got around to this today, and it’s great. Craig’s lyrics are as on-point as ever.

 

No joke, these are their two albums I found myself most attached to. Dunno how that happened.

 

I’ve come around so hard on Sideways Skull. What a banger.

 

They put up a (live) reimagining of Heaven is Whenever w/ Franz and Steve's input on bandcamp today. I'm only a couple songs into it but it's pretty great so far.

gonna try to get to either friday or saturday of this

 

I’m trying to catch yo la tengo doing a Hanukkah set this Winter, but if i weren’t then this would be my go-to travel to NYC in the winter event.

 

Did anyone get the two B-Sides from this album that were released as part of Record Store Day? Looking for MP3's if possible.

So, Death of the Punchline is the best song from this project and is a B side... Adderall all over again!

 

yeah I basically feel the same way

except for me 2 Handed Handshake is the ultimate “left off” song

 

Such a great B-Sides band too. They have close to 50 non-album studio tracks!

 

Definitely an all-time b-sides band

 

Death of the Punchline is so good. Truly no idea how it missed the album.

 

It is legitimately the best song they have done since at least Entitlement Crew imo. Possibly Oaks.

And I really like many of their other recent songs especially Sixers and Unpleasant Breakfast.

 

Doing all 3 nights in Seattle next weekend after I had to cancel Portland and Chicago trips last year. Dave Hause opening on Thursday, very excited.

One thing I thought about recently is that Stuck Between Stations is their biggest song, their best song (arguable but as a generalisation I think that is true) and the song that best exemplifies the band. How many other bands have 1 song that stands out as The Song in all 3 of those categories???
I struggled to come up with many at all.

 

Impossible task to list a top 5 in general because worlds greatest band but I think my most repeated over the last little while are probably

Blackout Sam

 

Not only are their B-sides incredible but Craig's solo albums are criminally overlooked
