but Jack Perry dragging TK was definitely a CM punk reference…the fire spot was a nice cap to it

Feels like Jack Perry’s poised to have a really good G1 run if that’s the way they go

if anything, BBG v Death triangle was kinda the most disappointing match from a talent vs match quality perspective

 

I am 100% on board with Stat being able to let loose personality wise; and Stokely is a perfect vessel.

Give me a Stat v Willow Owen Cup finals, and Stat taking the belt at All In

 

Edge and Gangrel made my night. 90s me was ecstatic when I saw the Brood logo and the entrance was perfection.

 

Also, more matches should have people emerging from beneath the ring.

 

Honestly I thought HoB was gonna be hiding under there, lights would go dark during the match and then when they came back on they'd be standing in the ring 3v1. I assumed Gangrel was already making an appearance so when HoB didn't appear from under the ring I was like AH HAH HE'S THERE!

 

Even by “Jinder is champ” standards, where KO/AJ was midcard, this is wild. Top 5 wrestlers in the world migh be AEW midcard champs

 

I was pretty skeptical about Mercedes wrestling last night before the match but she really killed it. Didn’t show any signs of rust imo

 

All three major acquisitions now have titles.

 

just caught up with most of the show

thought it was a good show

anarchy in the arena ruled

opener was the best match of the night

people keep forgetting Mercedes is one of the best in-ring talents on the planet

thought there was a lull in the middle of the show, basically from the second match until the 3 main events. I havent watched the world title match yet

most matches still felt way too long

stoked on gangrel, but also why did gangrel take out the entirety of house of black? man wasn't good enough in his prime to beat up big boss man and we're supposed to believe he's taking out Brody king. nostalgia rocks but also thought it was poorly done

 

Stacked but at the same time it doesn't feel like there's an actual midcard at times lol

 

House of Black should be one of the more dominant factions in all of wrestling and instead they are booked like dweebs - Black hasn’t won anything important since his initial feud with Cody

 

It's not the first time House of Black got taken out by one guy either. Mark Briscoe 1 on 3ed them a couple months ago too

Black is just more outspoken and wants to handle more of his creative/booking. Somehow that got twisted into a negative thing and people make it out that he never wants to lose. Real annoying.
