Look. I love Mox but how the fuck does Takeshita not win tonight. I honestly can’t remember a single time AEW has ever had an eliminator match go the way of the challenger.

 

Great match but man I really thought it was gonna be Takeshita there sighhhhh

 

I’m sure NJPW had some influence in that match, but the wrong man went over. Great match, though.

The only reason I can see Mox winning is if they’ve got something lined up for him to lose the belt at Forbidden Door, but Takeshita winning would only give him a title match so no harm in giving him a win there.

Obviously NJPW wasn’t going to allow a DDT guy to go over their champ. They are already getting enough shit from idiots who don’t see Mox as an NJPW guy even though he has wrestled for them a bunch. I don’t know why anyone is surprised.

Takeshita if booked right in the next 12 months could be wrestling for the AEW title. That should’ve started with a title win tonight. Bummer.
