Mason is really good, he plays for my team here. Huge prospect but it’s going to be interesting following him as one of the first great post Brexit “wonder kids”. Having to stay in Ireland until 18 can hurt our better players. Going to be interesting to see how he adapts from the Irish academy set up to an English one.

Oh that's cool. Had no idea. My knowledge of Irish football is basically how fucking awesome Bohemians are off the pitch and that's it. I have an Irish friend who I keep asking to take me to a game of theirs cause he lives nearby but he hates football lol.

Interesting that he's rated so highly, and nice to see more Irish talent come through. My only worry would be that we have our own wonderkid, Chido Obi Martin, setting youth records up front, so I wonder if the minute he'd get would be limited.

I doubt Melia would be limiting an Arsenal youth player. The training standards in Ireland are so much lower. It would take him a while to get settled. I know a bunch of lads that went over to UK clubs over the years, the vast majority were back in Ireland and out of football by 20. It’s a massive step up, and Melia can’t even move for another couple of years.
