My thoughts: I HOWLED at Liz going back for the plank to help Kenzie win. Maria looked soooo pissed, she knew she was gone from that moment. Liz continues to be delusional yet providing entertainment in tiny bursts, she really thought she was the biggest threat lol. I seriously thought Kenzie wasn't gonna be able to make fire and I got scared for a second. I'm totally surprised just as much as Charlie was that Maria didn't vote for him, god hr looked like he was still in shock and processing losing the entire after-show. I honestly felt it was a tossup. They both deserve to win for different reasons I feel. Charlie was more methodical, he played the game but Kenzie was also involved and am extreme extreme social butterfly, she had more connections with people and I'm sure they played a part with the jury. All in all, messy season, glad it's over. Sure there were moments, like Venus' quips, Q's and Liz:s del

 

Super happy Kenzie won. She was my favorite player from the get go. That being said, as happy as I am that she won, I’m even more happy Liz made a fool of herself once again. Just a wildly delusional and unlikeable person. She did absolutely nothing.

If they keep S50 limited to the previous 9 seasons they will FOR SURE bring back Q and/or Liz.

 

Yeah despite what Jeff said about it being open to ALL players I hope the majority of the roster is new age era. There ARE enough people, between winners and EXTRA EXTRA characters that a full cast can be filled.

 

i just hope they bring jake and his WHOOOAAA's from 45 back

easily my least favorite winner in the 26 day era.

 

Yep, and RHAP has Jesse on their finale recap! And Karla from that season is on the finale after party recap episode of The Pod Has Spoken too. Hopefully I'll get a chance to listen to these this weekend, looking forward to these guests.

 

Tbh I only like the Tyson pod with an older person or if it’s just him and Riley.

Dee wasnt great on the official pod but I like the bts stuff we get from Jeff. And i really like Jay as a podcast producer

 

I actually liked Dee on 45 but I completely agree she wasn't a great at all on the podcast. Also agree with the BTS stuff, Jeff provides some great insight. I like Tyson because I love his personality lol so I enjoy listening to him, especially when he has new era players on and they compare and contrast their respective eras. I also enjoy sometimes listening to the Johnny Fairplay pod but only when he's actually on it, lately it's just all the other hosts and no Fairplay and I'm not a fan of the other hosts.

I wonder who the official survivor podcast will have on the 3rd seat next season to help Jeff and Jay since I think they'll swap Dee out for a new person.

 

In a very strange way I absolutely loved this cast. It’s very close to “so bad it’s good” territory but that doesn’t quite do it justice for me.

I somehow forgot about Banu until I went back and watched the first episode. How I forgot about someone who felt like they had 90% of the screen time for 4-5 episodes I have no idea lol

Liz… holy shit Liz, what a mess. I feel like if she said some of the things she did just with a slightly different tone, or had just a liiiiittle bit of a different personality everyone would love her or at least like her much more than they do. So many bizarre comments and actions while also being so goddamn egotistical. I can’t help but imagine her not being able to really eat anything played a part in her being so absurd. If I don’t get to eat lunch within a normal expected time I get insanely irritable and moody until I can eat so I can’t imagine going 25 days with almost nothing - or at least so, so, so much less than everyone else normally expects and gets on Survivor.

 

Rewatched the first two episodes of 46 today and glad Kenzie won and she deserved the win just based on having to be on a tribe with Banu and Q. Charlie and Ben didn’t have to deal with that shit lmao

 

I’m sure this applies for a lot of seasons but randomly started rewatching Ghost Island and it’s amazing how many people brought/wore JEANS to the island. I get that it will get cold at night and rain but of all the pants material you could wear/bring I would not bring jeans but maybe it’s just me that really hates the feel of jeans after awhile lol

 

Listening to some podcasts and YouTube videos about the season which is kind of interesting as I’ve never done this before - usually I watch the season and that’s it, I don’t dive into the discourse - and it’s always fascinating to me how Ponderosa works and how the jury interacts there since you could have someone heavily sway opinions, etc. would be curious to see a season where the jury is sequestered from each other and only sees other jury members at tribal and maybe then they get 10 minutes to discuss what just happened. Would be interesting to see what the results of that would be but would only I guess truly be curious if we went alternate timeline on a few seasons to see if the winner would change because of this idea.

 

Yeah it really sounds like ponderosa not only had drama but also may have seriously influenced their decision, depending on what you believe.

 

I’m genuinely stunned they haven’t turned ponderosa into a side show with cameras on it showing what’s going on lol
